Creating A Staging or Development Environment

What is a staging or dev environment?

A staging or dev environment is a replica of a production or live website, created for testing installation/configuration/migration scripts and procedures before they’re applied to a production environment.

When will you need a staging or dev environment?

  1. When you develop a lot of new websites and need to create staging or dev environments frequently.
  2. When you need to save progress when developing a website.

How to create a staging or dev environment with WPvivid Backup Pro?

Please note that: WPvivid Backup Pro currently does not support creating staging sites for WordPress multisite.

1. Create a backup of a staging environment and send the backup to the Staging folder on your remote storage.

Note: The Staging folder is a public folder on your remote storage accessible to all your websites.
